NEW 2009-2010 Uniform Policy

SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY

Grades Pre-K to 12

Effective 2009 – 2010

 

SHIRTS

  • POLO STYLE SHIRTS - SOLID WHITE or BLACK, long/short sleeves. 
    • ALL SHIRTS MUST BE TUCKED IN (Grades 4-12)
  • Students may also wear royal blue Cahokia School District shirts purchased from the approved provider only. A ROYAL BLUE T-SHIRT may be worn under this shirt as long as it is purchased from the approved provider.
  • T-SHIRTS - SOLID WHITE, both short and long sleeve, may be worn under any uniform color shirt as undergarment only.  Students may also wear a black t-shirt under a black uniform shirt.

PANTS

  • NAVY BLUE or BLACK, ankle length, no calf or thigh side pockets, NO SAGGING.

CAPRIS

  • NAVY BLUE or BLACK, no cargo pockets.

SHORTS

  • NAVY BLUE or BLACK, knee length, no cargo pockets.

SKIRTS

  • NAVY BLUE or BLACK, below knees or longer, no side thigh pockets, no slits.

SHOES

  • BLACK, NAVY BLUE, or BROWN closed shoes (no heel or toe out) or tennis shoes.  Both shoes must match.
  • Boots can be worn under pants only.
  • No cleats or heelies.

WINTER ATTIRE

  • COATS - No matter how cold must stay in lockers.
  • SWEATSHIRTS - SOLID BLACK, may be worn in place of a coat.  Zippers must be full length (no pullovers).  Hoods are allowed, but hat rule MUST be followed (hood off when building is entered).
  • Crew-collared sweatshirts in SOLID BLACK or WHITE are allowed.  Polo uniform shirt must be underneath sweatshirt.
  • Students may purchase ROYAL BLUE DISTRICT HOODED AND CREW-COLLARED SWEATSHIRTS from approved provider only.

ACCESSORIES

  • BELTS – must be SOLID BLACK, NAVY BLUE, or BROWN and worn through belt loops.
  • SOCKS/STOCKINGS – SOLID BLACK, NAVY BLUE, or WHITE, no leggings
  • No baseball caps

 

 NO JEANS WEAR -- NO DENIM OF ANY KIND
